Motorcycle Style Tips
There are two sides to motorcycle style: performance and look. On the one hand motorcycle leather jackets are built to bear the pressures of motorcycling, and are rugged, tough and help protect the wearer from injury. On the other hand, motorcycle clothes are stylish in their own right, and even away from the motorcycle they are fast becoming an important feature of anyone’s wardrobe.
It was perhaps in the 80s where the motorbike leather jacket became something of a fashion item. However, for decades pervious to that motorcycle clothes would be worn with a nod to style. for example, in movies like Easy Rider the clothes that the protagonists would wear would be a contributing part of the general coolness of the film itself.
Motorcycle clothing has always been part of “alternative” fashion. The whole idea of riding a motorcycle has always been something of an antiestablishment activity, and only in more recent years has motorcycling been embraced by the mainstream, whether it’s on the catwalk on the roads.
If you are a biker, then you should choose clothing that is high quality because it will protect you if you fall off your bike. Leather is tough, and so is reasonable protection against cuts and bruises, and will even give you a level of protection from more serious injury.
In more stylistic terms, motorcycle jackets are now available in all sorts of different styles. They can be embellished with studs and rhinestones, which will really add to that uber-cool biker look.
